Ian played for the Club from 1986 until 2006. Principally a top-order batsman, he recorded almost 3,000 runs (including a century) in some 200 matches - mostly in the Myreside (3rd) XI, which he captained for five years between 1997 and 2001. He featured in 10 matches for the 1st XI.

Ian served as Assistant Secretary in 1992.

Ian’s funeral will take place at Mortonhall Crematorium’s Pentland Chapel on Tuesday 10th January 2023 at 11.30am.
