Watsonian Ladies v Stirling County

with No Comments

Well done to the ladies team. We won! Our 1st (and hopefully not last) victory of the season

With the sun shining and the pitch looking good, Watsonians took to the field in high spirits.  The team performed well with Katy throwing herself around to save singles and Yvette performing behind the stumps to her usual high standard.

The bowling performance is improving with every game with an exceptional spell from Holly who almost got a hat-trick in her 6 overs taking 4 for 20. She was ably supported by Denise (2 for 19) and both Victoria and Felicia taking 1 wicket a piece.

Stirling County finished with 130 after a beautiful batting performance by Niamh Robertson-Jack who finished unbeaten on 54.

After an amazing tea, where WLCC tried to nobble the opposition by over-feeding them, our batsmen took to the field. Led by our Captain, Victoria, who came in at number 4, Watsonians gently reached the winning total in 28 overs. Victoria scoring a magnificent 64 not out – her 1st ever 50!

Many thanks to Stirling County for the game.
