1. About the Club

Watsonian Cricket Club – founded in 1875 – is based in Edinburgh and plays its cricket at two stunning grounds which each benefit from grass squares and an artificial wicket at Myreside and Craiglockhart.

The club currently fields four senior sides, has a vibrant junior section and a growing women’s section. We are one of the few Edinburgh clubs to offer year-round cricket for junior cricketers and have training for men and women from January through August.

We are fortunate to have an energetic Director of Cricket in Andrew Chalmers and a talented Scotland international, Oli Hairs, as Head Coach.

We are an open club welcoming junior players from all schools, including those who share our location on the beautiful campus of George Watson's College. We welcome well over 100 youngsters each season to participate in training, camps and matches from All Stars through to U18 and progression to our senior teams.

The Club is always looking to attract new recruits to its various sections. So, if you are seeking to play at the highest possible level or just want to enjoy social cricket, the club can provide you with the opportunity – and you can be assured of a warm welcome.
